I was asked to shoot Jewelry for SFP Studio out of Ketchum ID. I had never photographed jewelry before and thought it would be a great time to try out macro photography. I borrowed a 180mm from mentor and started shooting. I quickly found a new respect for macro photographers and realized that the depth of field was much much tighter than I anticipated. Becoming a little frustrated outside of my comfort zone going back to a 50mm seemed much easier. But my mentor urged me push on and I ended up enjoying the process. Big thanks to Nina Fox for the lens, assistance, and creative direction and SFP Studio for giving me the opportunity.
